This is our last goodbye...?

Last night I saw Bruce Springsteen & the E Street band at Ullevi, Gothenburg.

A legendary band at a legendary stadium.

I should be overjoyed with having seen a future classic show. 'Cause it really was the best show I've seen with the E Street band. I could go on forever about how good it was. But I'm getting the feeling that this was the last time I will ever get to see the E Street band, and that breaks my heart.

Bobby Jean, I'm on fire and Born to run almost brought tears to my eyes and brought me back to my childhood and warm summer evenings, Night, Thunder road and Because the night made me explode with joy and Mary's place has become a new classic. Still it makes me so sad that I probably won't get to see them again. This whole tour feels like a long, loving but painful goodbye. Danny has already left us and Miami Steve has hinted that it has made the band realize that life is short and that other things become more important. Not to forget - their show has been on the road for over 30 years.

I hate goodbyes but maybe this was one. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street band is one of, or maybe THE most important musical influence of my life. No words can express what they mean to me.
